The so called purge involving quite many crypto youtubers that saw their crypto related videos being removed is over. At least for now... as this recent report from theblockcrypto.com shows. Youtube has come with a pretty vague, as usual motivation, and everything seems to be back to normal, right after Christmas.
“The removals were in error, we’ve reinstated all affected videos and removed any penalty to the channel. There has been no change in our policies with regards to cryptocurrency.”
Youtube spokesperson for theblockcrypto outlet
Now that everybody got their Christmas gifts and monetized content back we can all mind our own businesses further and do whatever we usually do online. Youtubers getting back to youtube, wiping their foreheads of the cold sweat that the situation gave them, and us the decentralized ones doing our decentralized...thing.
Looks like turning their eyes towards decentralized social media platforms was just an act of fear, coming from some of the most famous crypto youtubers out there, and now that they can do their bidness as before, no one is searching for alternatives anymore. They will, I tell you for sure. But you know what... we don't need them!
I, for example, don't need that Omar Bahraim, or how the hell he is called, to read me news on a video. I can read them myself. Yes, I follow, as I mentioned, Chris Dunn, whom I consider a good investor, and one can say a worth follow influencer as well, I follow cryptodaily, who has an account on Steem as well, despite being an avid youtuber, and I follow Alessio Rastani just to have his perspective, despite disagreeing many times with him and refusing to pay $2,000 for his leading trader courses.
Other than them I don't follow, and haven't subscribed, to too many crypto bros, wendyes, bimbos, mimbos, and so on. I am a big boy now, and I realized that all the majority is doing is reacting to the trend, the price trend to be more precise. Very few, and in very rare cases, have predicted anything lately, or came out with an awesome project that I didn't knew about it.
That's the reason I don't care that much about such content creators and the reason why I cleaned/cleared my list of visionaries for quite a while. Let me tell you one more thing about those people, that many of us would welcome in here. They would come on this platform and do whatever they do on youtube, like a bear sniffing for a honey comb, if one BAT token would be $15-30.
As I wrote in my post regarding the youtube censorship, for them is all about the money, so let them use youtube as they did for years. I don't need them, and you don't need them either. We have people that do good TA, already active members on publish0x...
...we have people that are digging crypto projects worth investing, and we kind of have influencers and developers as well, and that's why I don't feel like shilling decentralized platforms to such youtubers. Plus, I am sure that they know about them already. Let them stay there! We're fine, with what we have and what we are.
Aaaannnddd, once again, I will mention that those people should have known already on what they signed for when hopping on the youtube horse, and started making money with that big beautiful, and red, money making videos streaming platform. It all comes at a cost and centralization is the cost for getting everything for free. Let them pay it!
Thanks for attention,
Adrian
