De-dollarize, De-weaponize, Decentralize...

I guess you can't fool a bunch of chimpanzees to fight for a cause based on the promise that if they "go there" and do that, they'll be given a banana. But you can clearly fool "marines" into believing they fought in Iraq and Afghanistan against terrorists, thinking their earned paychecks are worth the trauma and all the shit around it.

The only thing making the second scenario possible is the story behind it. I just watched a short clip of the Lex Fridman podcast, with a guest who had an accent (don't know the name). I've got to give credit to this guy; it's stories that sell stuff.

Without a story, there would be no value attached to the dollar, the paper dollar. As this guy is saying, you can't eat dollars, but dollars can buy you food. However, he's mistaken about Bitcoin and other forms of cryptocurrencies. These are not like the dollar or any other form of cash that we currently have.

He's basically saying that Bitcoin has gained such insane dollar valuations due to the story behind it. But if he'd bother to have a look at the story behind Bitcoin, he'd understand the value of such tech. It is true that you can't eat Bitcoin, but it is also true that not all of us are farmers; thus, we need exchange currencies for us non-farmers to be able to buy food and other things we need on a daily basis.

While there's a story behind Bitcoin, just as there is one behind fiat currencies held up by the bankers of the world, the truth is that Bitcoin has a purposeful meaning. Let me give you an example to underline the meaning of my reasoning.

Aside from the fact that Bitcoin has a limited supply compared to the dollar or any other fiat currency, there's also the governance issue that goes beyond any story. If you remember the good old times of the pandemic (I keep on taking you back to pandemic times because there's a lot of value to be extracted from there when advocating crypto), there was this freedom convoy in Canada...

A group of people driving large trucks came to Ontario and parked them downtown in protest against the draconian measures that the Canadian government took against its people, as a measure of fighting "an invisible deadly virus" that had a survival rate of 99%, a virus that was nothing more than a damn flu...

Individuals who decided to help the cause and donated money to the truckers saw their accounts questioned by the banks, and the transactions frozen. This is where Bitcoin kicked in as a "non-governable currency," a currency that is beyond any story. In this particular case, Bitcoin proved to be real-life "fuck you money."

You can't make a story out of that. The use case there was palpable. Had these people had a way to spend the Bitcoin they received in donations to buy themselves food and gas, they'd need no damn dollar as donations, and the authorities would not be able to freeze shit...

Bitcoin, and Hive as well, are neutral blockchains and currencies. No one can stop me from sending a small portion of Bitcoin or a bunch of HIVE to anyone in this world. The same goes for the social side of Hive. I don't know if you're following Robert F. Kennedy Jr. lately, but he has recently told his story about YouTube censoring him and de-platforming him.

This cannot happen on Hive. Anyone here has the right and accessibility to post whatever, and the only thing the community can decide is whether that one's content is worthy of curation or not. Even if one gets hundreds of downvotes, the piece of content remains immutably saved on the blockchain.

The dollar has been weaponized by the world elites so that they can exert control over many foreign states other than the United States of America. We now see that countries such as Russia, China, and India are working on developing their own currency through the creation of BRICS as a reaction to the dollar's weaponizing attribute, but this is not the ultimate solution.

The best-case scenario for us individuals is to have decentralized money, decentralized governance bodies, and de-weaponized means of exchange between countries. Both Bitcoin and Hive have a story behind them, but their value goes beyond these stories. After I cash in a bunch of HIVE in my wallet and go out and spend them on groceries and whatever, I'm not trading stories for goods, I'm spending ungovernable money for real-life bananas...
