"*If you don't believe in me or don't get it, I don't have time to convince you, sorry*" Satoshi Nakamoto
14 years ago, Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of the Bitcoin protocol, gifted us with its white paper. While a few of us have been in this crypto game since its early days, the majority are newcomers, and let's face it, probably 90% of us are here for the money, not the tech.
I recall back in 2010 or 2011 when you could have snagged a whole Bitcoin for a few bucks. Oh, how we all wish we could time travel and stock up on as much as possible, but those days are long gone. Now, one BTC holds a value that's roughly half of my apartment's worth.
In just a couple of years, the value of a whole BTC will likely be double or triple the value of my home. To some extent, we can say that Bitcoin is unstoppably devouring the dollar. Wait, isn't the dollar supposed to be immortal? Well, maybe it won't keel over anytime soon, but don't bet on too many years left for the world's most used currency.
Times are changing, and technology is revolutionizing nearly everything around us. Sooner or later, technology will become a part of our very bodies. Many reject the idea of blending their bodies with tech parts, but consider this: We already have individuals living with "artificial hearts."
Take, for example, a dude living across from my house. He's alive today thanks to a "stander" or whatever the hell that device's name is, helping his heart function properly.
Bitcoin was designed to flow like a river, navigating through stones and carrying worthy leaves (crypto projects) into a digital era of abundance. Every four years, we witness the Bitcoin halving, slashing mining rewards in half. This event is known to be one of the major catalysts driving every bull market we've had and will have for Bitcoin and crypto down the road.
The next halving is scheduled for sometime in April next year, and the mining rewards that will follow will be 3.125 BTC per mined block.
In the beginning, when mining BTC was a breeze and almost anyone could do it using a laptop, the rewards per mined block were a whopping 50 Bitcoins. The blockchain was practically spewing out 50 bitcoins every 10 minutes to those investing resources in mining. Back then, no one really talked about BTC.
Perhaps just a bunch of nerds and drug consumers who needed it for purchasing all sorts of illegal stuff from the dark web. The masses were completely oblivious to the true potential of Bitcoin as a store of value and security.
Fast forward to today, and we see giants like BlackRock, one of the biggest investment funds out there, "betting on Bitcoin" and submitting a Bitcoin Spot ETF request. The SEC's response to BlackRock, VanEck, and others' filings is expected to be delivered in April 2024.
Coincidentally, the most awaited event in the crypto space, the potential approval of a Bitcoin Spot ETF in the US, aligns with the next halving. If Elon Musk also decides to integrate Dogecoin into the new X app (formerly Twitter), we might be witnessing one of the biggest bull markets in Bitcoin's history.
The past bull market was rather lackluster. Many of us believed BTC would soar to valuations over $200,000, but reality gave us a modest 3X increase from its previous cycle's all-time high. Meh...
Nothing is guaranteed, but considering all these factors that could positively impact the crypto market, it's worth pondering. The upcoming presidential elections in the US will feature candidates like Ron DeSantis and Robert F. Kennedy, both pro-Bitcoin, who will use BTC to attract voters to their side.
The masses should already be fed up with the current financial and political systems. When two candidates like the ones I mentioned boast about their "love for Bitcoin," those of us who have been grinding in this space for so long will be rewarded. Call it intuition, but my gut feeling tells me we're in for the biggest bull market in Bitcoin's history over the next couple of years.
Sure, there will be a top, and corrections will occur along the way. FUD will be spread around key moments, and euphoria will once again cause many of us to miss out on insanely juicy profits. However, for those who have their game tight, the next couple of years are going to be great. That's all from me for now. Wishing you all a fantastic day, and see you next time.
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
