Contract and Expand

We just got hit in the balls with another rise for the gas/diesel prices and this will for sure cascade into many other commodities doing the same. Nickel for example having its own bull market :). It feels like we've gone so far with the constant price appreciation of oil products, but at the same time it feels like this is just the beginning.

I've been reading a book for a few days called When Money Dies by Adam Fergusson where it's being discussed about financial hard times that Germany has gone through after the first world war. Why am I reading a book that involves a war right now? I don't know, but the current worlds economical situation sure looks like the incipient phases of that of Germany after WWI.

We haven't reached the point yet where we have to seriously "weigh on our shopping habits" but I'd say we're not that far from such a time either. I am already no longer driving my car as I used to, somehow protesting against the diesel prices, started on checking prices in store and no longer buy "that much premium stuff", but also thinking of a potential grey scenario that would set upon us for a few years ahead.

All this shit would have been easily avoided if NATO would have simply stayed away from Russia and not tease Putin. It was discussed many years ago that NATO expanding close to Russia will trigger violent reactions from the communist country. Here you have em now...

Is this all part of the great reset or the build back better plan of the Americans? I don't know, but thank god for crypto... It's not like we're in a bull market anymore, not many are still making money, that's pretty much clear. We don't know yet if the bear market shall last a couple of years either, as it did back in 2018-2020, but we've got to stay prepared.

You know the saying, buy when there's blood on the streets, even if it is your own? Well, we can't say we have true blood on the streets yet, but I'd call this a great accumulation time. I literally have no reasoning for saying $30,000 was the bottom for Bitcoin, but considering that this cycle is whole lot different than the previous ones, we might not have that two years long bear cycle either.

Anyway, the idea in making money in crypto, or making more crypto with crypto, is to buy low and sell high and my take is that some coins are quite low to start dollar cost averaging into them. I have the experience of not making life changing money for two bull markets in a row. Not doing the same again.

Bear markets are for buidling and what better example than the one of @leofinance we would have, which has just launched PolyCUB and made tons of Leofinance users happy. Congratulations on that one, @khaleelkazi !

I am not into DeFi, thus I skipped PolyCUB, but that does not mean I don't make the most out of the current times and prices. In order to make life changing money during bull markets it's advisable to build yourself a good portfolio when bear times occur and that's what I've been doing for a few months.

I followed @mindtrap advice closely and kept on adding ATOM and SCRT. I don't have much details about the ecosystem, but I trust the man and especially in the case of SCRT the chart seems inviting. I bet many of us regret not buying MATIC, or HIVE, in 2018-2019 and 2020 when both were bargains and both have had staggering performances in 2021.

Who knows, maybe ATOM will be a hit in the next couple of years...

I have two failed bull markets in my portfolio, with little to less profits taken and I'm planning on making this third one a lucrative one. I still remember reading @empoderat post from about a year ago about how he turned $10,000 into about a million. I'm not that smart to do that, but turning $10,000 into $100,000 would be "great enough".

Life is getting more expensive everywhere in the world, national currencies are devaluing against commodities prices and "laying on too much cash" doesn't seem like a good option. I still have some cash reserves and it's advisable to do that, but during tenebrous times it's assets that you want to own and what better assets than crypto we would have in a digital era.

@taskmaster4450 has been educating us on the digital era and the thrive of technology for ever since I remember following him on Hive... It would be such a pity, though, to enter such an era on the left foot and not hold the digital eras assets we have "shinning before our eyes". Have a great day peeps and see you to the next one.

Thanks for attention,
Adrian
