At some point @taskmaster4450 said in a comment to a post of mine that in the future, probably the not so distant one, we won't be able to talk about the internet separated from blockchain/crypto, the segregation being almost impossible in a future era of "everything tokenized".
People are still doing youtube, instagram and tiktok, though. The free to use stuff that's getting harder and harder to get your shit monetized with it... I was wacthing some gym guy yesterday sayin that getting viral on youtube has become so damn hard lately, "due to algorithms", and you can achieve such greatness on tiktok way easier.
He was saying that the reason for that happening is that tiktok is still in its early days, but soon that won't be achievable for everyone anymore. Blockchain technology is no longer in its early days, although it feels like that, but it's not as mainstream as tiktok either.
I bet 90% of my friends have titok installed on their phones, but none of them is using Hive, any other sort of WEB3 app or blockchain transactions on a daily basis. It always takes good stuff more time to get mainstream than the bad stuff does. And yeah, I don't see tiktok among "the good stuff". CUZ IT'S CENTRALIZED.

That's the message Pierre Poilievre, Canadian Prime Minister candidate for the Conservative Party is delivering to his potential voters and it's a hell of an advertisement if you ask me. I doubt Trudeau can come with something better. A matter of fact I don't even know if it is Trudeau who's actually his opponent for PM elections, but Trudeau is such a mess and a bitch of a politician.
Canada and Australia have shown us for the past year or so how much harm can centralized powers and oppression do to fundamental freedom rights of their citizens if abused. Lately we seem to be having a shift in attitude towards Bitcoin and blockchain technology and that's great for true mass adoption of such tech.
Australian crypto exchange BTC Markets has partnered with Mastercard to allow its customers to make direct debit, prepaid or credit card payments to purchase cryptocurrencies from the platform. Hmm, Aussies are on track of "becoming wild and free" once again. We're not talking Bitcoin becoming legal tender in any of these countries, but both their steps forward are worth celebrating.
I kept on emphasizing for the past few months that we're gonna have a war on Bitcoin and it's not what most of you might think of. I'm actually pointing at large companies and governmental entities rushing in integrating it and making use of its technology. Bitcoin will be the add in many election campaigns down the road and Russia has already pointed at its future potential as an exchange currency.
Bitcoin can't probably handle large scale payments, but it doesn't even have to. It's enough to have it being used by Russia for example, circumventing absurd US sanctions and we will have other smaller businesses replicating that, using Bitcoin, the lightning network or other blockhains and cryptocurrencies.
Blockchain is going viral and this thing will outpace all the damn tiktoks and youtubes we have out there. The incentive to use blockchain technology is kicking the ass of every legacy "social app" we have atm. It's goin to happen, soon...
