The problem with money held in a bank account is that that money doesn't belong to you, you're a mere user that can see his funds frozen by the bank at any time, or questioned whenever moving large amounts of that money around.
The freedom convoy that gathered truckers all across Canada and united them in a giant protest in Ottawa is all over the news... Well, it's actually not all over the news because the media outlets don't share such events with the public, they're not allowed by their bosses... But the event has gone public.
These protesters that have gathered in Ottawa to take the government down and regain their freedom have benefited from close to $9 million in donations through gofundme. That's nice, seeing others who aren't actively taking part at the protest supporting it in some way.
You know what's not nice though?
Gofundme attitude towards these people, as it has recently tried and rob them. At first they froze the funds saying that the protest is no longer peaceful, then they said they will redirect the funds to other causes, as if that money would be theirs to decide so and now they're basically sending them back to the donors, after everyone saw what a leech of an organization gofundme is.
From what I read this morning, it seems that the freedom convoy has finally gone Bitcoin and they're now accepting Bitcoin donations. Something they should have done right from the beginning. Bitcoin can never be frozen by any miner of external power and there's no switch off button turning down any transaction coming down their wallet.
Three days ago I had this post entitled Canadian Truckers is Bitcoin and I stand by the statements I shared over there. Canada is been proving to act worse than the worse communist country lately and that's not democratic at all. Hence the movement initiated by the Canadian truckers was highly necessary.
Bitcoin will benefit immensely from this situation as it will be looked at as "the ultimate form of money", or the fuck you money. Nobody can control it, but unfortunately not many are seeing its value atm. Luckily, though, the whole situation with the truckers is going to advertise Bitcoin and its attributes even more.
2022 is going to be the year of Bitcoin and human consciousness awakening. The past couple of years have put humanity under severe stress coming from all sort of absurd measures enforced on us. WEB3 will thrive as well, considering how easily manipulable and censorable WEB2 is. Hope you're having a great Saturday and see you to the next post.
