My ex-girlfriend (who now hates me but that's another story) had a nickname for me: "question man". That's because I love to ask questions. I love to understand what people's incentives are, what kind of personalities they have and what they stand for.
This led me to conducting interviews in the past, several with professional poker players while working for a Poker PR business and one with Shingo Lavine, founder of a crypto project named Bitquence (rebranded to Voyager), way back in 2017. As you can see from browsing through the questions I asked Shingo, I like to go deep.
I ask challenging questions which sometimes generate nuggets of uncomfortable truths which might otherwise not have surfaced. I don't enjoy interviews for which the sole purpose is to promote the interviewee's project or company. I don't think most other people do either.
With that said, I came up with a list of questions to ask the founders listed at the bottom of this post. After getting answers to them from one of the Publish0x team members, I realized that I'm not the only one who has questions for them. You, the readers and publishers of Publish0x, surely have questions too. I want to give you the opportunity to suggest questions for us to ask them in the comment section below.
Note that the Publish0x representative who I spoke to admitted that the team does not like to be in the spotlight. Nonetheless, now that they have a platform with a whopping 100k registered users, it's hard not to have some light shined upon them. That being said I respect their desire for privacy and they are of course under no obligation to answer any question that I or you may have.
Fortunately they already did answer the range of questions I posed them which you see listed below.
- What inspired you to create Publish0x?
- How many people are on the Publish0x team and what are their backgrounds and their roles?
- What made you choose to create a centralised platform as opposed to a decentralised one?
- What do you see as the greatest strengths of Publish0x compared to other social media or publication platforms such as Hive or Medium? How did you manage to attract 100,000 users to register on the platform?
- What are your top priorities for the development of Publish0x moving forward?
- What have been your biggest learning experiences during your journey of creating and running Publish0x?
- How has COVID-19 affected your operations?
- What are your greatest challenges that you are currently trying to overcome?
After anwering these questions, they also directed me to this post and this one. They offer more information on the background, history and achievements of Publish0x and their creators. I strongly suggest you read them as they may generate new intersesting questions or answer some you already have.
The only question now is, what are your questions? Comment down below!
