HALO Network January Development Recap

HALO Network January Development Recap

By RitabeII | Helloadaora | 1 Feb 2022

With the month of January winding down, the HALO Network team continued on its path of development. HALO Network made significant progress as the public chain continues to gain traction.

In this piece, we intend to recap some of the notable developmental milestones attained by HALO Network in January.

$HO Accepted For Cosmic Blind Boxes

The Cosmic gaming ecosystem kicked off with the sales of its NFTs, Cosmic Blind Boxes in January. HALO Network’s collaboration with the Cosmic GameFi and NebuDAO continues to yield the desired results, the latest being the acceptance of $HO, the public chain’s native token for the sales of these NFTs. Players can expect $HO to play an even bigger role in the gaming environment in the future.

Cosmic Blind Boxes Sold Out

HALO Network’s major entry into GameFi, Cosmic, launched its Blind Boxes in January. About 3216 NFTs were sold out within 16 minutes of the sale. That’s an amazing statistic for a game that only just launched.

Purchase of these blind boxes was capped at 3 per person, which paints an even more exciting picture of players’ enthusiasm for the game. Of course, this provides some feelers on HALO Network’s navigation of the metaverse and GameFi.

Though the public chain suffered congestion issues thanks to the popularity of the sales, the network has shown its capacity to weather such storms when the game kicks off.

Handling Fee Changes

The public chain’s resolve to deliver quality service without burdening users of its cross-chain bridge has necessitated the downward review of the HALO Network handling fee by a whopping 90%. From January, users of the bridge will now pay 0.1 HO instead of 1 HO. Most users will be pleased with this reduction.

This change in handling fee comes as HALO Network boasts of a more robust logic setup for its cross-chain bridge. It’s worth noting that this reduction in handling fee considers both performance and security, so unnecessary compromises were avoided.

NebuDAO And COSMIC Are Now Live

In January, both NebuDAO and Cosmic official websites became accessible to the public. Both sites went live at the same time, letting users navigate the much-hyped virtual environments without any hitches.

HALO Network Crosses The 90,000+ Unique Wallet Addresses Milestone

In January, HALO Network reached 90,000+ unique wallet addresses transactions on the public chain. This is a big deal for a chain that commenced operations a few months ago.

With this milestone achieved, HALO Network now has to deliver on the growing expectations of its teeming users.

Cosmic NFT Trading Features Activated

HALO Network’s first GameFi project, Cosmic, has now activated trading of NFTs for the game. Players can now transfer or sell the NFT whenever they want. The addition allows players to get the game characters they desire in a safe virtual environment.

With the addition of trading features, the Cosmic consensus gets a boost. Players can now make the most of their NFTs, whether it’s trading them for money or other game characters.

HOSWAP NFT Trading In The Works

While everyone expected HALO Network’s eccentric DEX, HOSWAP to commence the highly anticipated NFT trading in January – especially as the Cosmic NFTs are currently in the hands of players – that bird hasn’t taken off just yet. The HOSWAP team has reiterated the commencement of NFT trading real soon. As we say goodbye to January 2022, fingers crossed that this service gets added to the DEX in the coming month.

POS Node Pledging Uptrend

HALO Network is one public chain that received a lot of attention. And the launch of the blockchain’s first GameFi project has increased its visibility. This is reflected in the POS pledging figures available in January. A whopping 5,576,427.2453 HO tokens were pledged on the blockchain, which suggests the pledging opportunity is gradually being leveraged by users.

What To Expect In February For HALO Network?

As the blockchain steps into the metaverse and GameFi through Cosmic, we should see a more engaging network, especially as players make their presence felt on the chain. February will be an interesting month for HALO Network following the launch of Cosmic in January. It will put the chain to the test, but the public chain’s superior infrastructure should deliver.

Just like HALO Network collaborated with NebuDAO towards the creation of Cosmic, we should see more partnerships with other metaverse-focused projects. This will put everyone on their toes, spurring unrelenting development.

Conclusion

January has been an exciting month for HALO Network. The blockchain got some much-deserved attention from the play2earn gaming community with the launch of Cosmic in January. Will the chain survive the onslaught of the gaming world? Time will tell.
