HALO Network 2021 Year-In-Review

HALO Network 2021 Year-In-Review

By RitabeII | Helloadaora | 3 Jan 2022

As we count down to the end of 2021, it’s always a good idea to reflect on the events of the past year while getting ready for the new year. This applies to HALO Network as well. So, in this piece, we intend to look at some of the developmental strides of HALO Network that made headlines in 2021. Let’s get to it.

  • HALO Mainnet Launched

In the past year, HALO Network focused on the launch of the Mainnet which took place in the first quarter of 2021. HALO Network’s mainnet was launched. This followed a cascade of events, including a strategic funding round.

  • HALO Network Genesis Launch

One significant event in 2021 for HALO Network is the blockchain’s genesis launch. Lots of participants committed their ETH to take part in the launch. The result is a truly decentralized blockchain as fairness and equity were applied in HO distribution.

  • HALO Bridge V2.0 Launched

An important ecosystem in HALO Network is its cross-chain bridge, HALO Bridge. The 2nd quarter of 2021 saw the upgraded version of the cross-chain bridge launched.

Users can now bridge their assets from other chains to HALO Network at an affordable cost thanks to HALO Bridge V2.0.

  • HPOS Mining Implemented

One of the critical aspects of HALO Network is its HPOS Mining. This was implemented following the node upgrades to allow HO holders to maximize this opportunity.

  • HALO Community Launched

HALO Community, another HALO Network ecosystem, went live in 2021. Thanks to the launch of HALO Community, the blockchain achieves true decentralization while incentivizing the right people.

  • HOSWAP Launched

As promised, HOSWAP, the main DEX of HALO Network was launched in 2021. It started with a public beta launch that allowed the public to try out the DEX using test tokens.

  • 1st Security Audit Passed

In 2021, HALO Network scaled its first security huddle as the blockchain contracts were certified safe by the SlowMist audit.

  • More Nodes Entered the Fray

In 2021, HALO Network continued to support the emergence of more nodes, improving the decentralization of the blockchain. Of course, node owners are heavily incentivized for their role in keeping the blockchain running.

  • First Strategic Partnership

HALO Network collaborated with MarsPanda towards improving the efficiency of the blockchain. Through this partnership, the MarsPanda AWS Swap setup got deployed on the network, resulting in a more robust blockchain.

  • HOS IDO Took Place

To allow the public to have their say in the operations of HOSWAP, an Initial DEX Offering (IDO) was held for the exchange’s native token, HOS. The sale took the vested format, so there were no issues of large dumps of the token after purchase.

  • More Strategic Partnerships

Also in 2021, HALO Network partnered with the DAO, Zeed. This collaboration helped set the mood for new frontiers in the blockchain space like NFTs.

HALO Network also joined forces with Far Ecosystem to deepen the utilization of NFTs on the blockchain. This culminated in the launch of FARSwap, a cross-chain DEX with multiple functionalities on HALO Network.

  • HALO Destruction Mining Pool Launched

HALO Network introduced the destruction mining pool in 2021. The novelty allowed participants to use HOS or HOS-IDO tokens to mine more tokens. Of course, there’s a lockup period involved and the original stake is destroyed, so participants had to think twice about joining this pool. However, the HOS destruction mining pool is now closed.

  • Another Project Comes Calling

BAT Protocol launches on HALO Network bringing the metaverse to the public blockchain. The launch of BAT Protocol on the blockchain ensures HALO Network plays host to NFTs, Web3, and much more.

  • HOSWAP LP cross-chain function Was Launched

HALO Network’s main DEX introduced the LP cross-chain function to allow participants to maximize their assets on different chains. It’s one of the revolutionary additions of HOSWAP that will see DEX challenge quite well in this space.

  • Action World Launched on HALO Network

With the popularity of launchpads in the crypto space, it’s surprising there aren’t many of such catering to the Asian market. Action World is the answer to that problem as it’s a launchpad built specifically to usher in new projects for the Asian market.

Action World launched on HALO Network in 2021, promising the rise of new, exciting projects.

  •  HALO Network 2.0 Upgrade Happened

2021 saw HALO Network upgraded to support improvements in POS Node staking. Now, HO holders can pledge their HO tokens choosing between two lockup periods with an upward review of the reward system.

  • NebuDAO Launched on HALO Network

In the last quarter of 2021, interests in the metaverse reached new levels. To meet the demands of metaverse enthusiasts, HALO Network launched NebuDAO, a dApp that allows users to have an identity in the metaverse.

Conclusion

2021 was an eventful year for HALO Network. For a blockchain that only started in the first quarter of 2021, HALO Network has come a long way. The public chain will only get stronger in the coming years.

The entire team is very grateful for our strong and committed community. 2022 holds great for HALO Network!
