Hi everyone. I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Rob, and I've been in the Bitcoin space since 2014. And I recently have decided to kick my blogging into overdrive on all things crypto. I have been going to local meetups on Bitcoin and crypto technologies and discovered that there was a critical lack of understanding of essential elements of Bitcoin technologies and the types of projects that were out there.
I recently gave a presentation and noticed that even a large number of the people that found time out of their schedule to go to a Bitcoin meetup
did not understand a lot of the fundamentals. So, as a result of this, I decided to make a blog that would break down the news of the day. I'm an active reader of Coindesk and Cointelegraph, and by virtue of being in the space, I'm able to understand the technology behind what being reported and want to share the basics as simplistically as possible of what's going on and what people need to know to stay in the loop.
So looking into the crypto YouTube ecosystem, I was able to see that there are a few personalities out there, and they all have their spin on the news, either being a crypto comedian, having a mustache, and overall doing what they can to make fintech news, which can be a little dry, palatable and engaging. So I'm aiming to deliver content with the hopes that it'll resonate with its authenticity and by breaking down new projects so that crypto enthusiasts and the newbie alike can get the gist of what's going on.
When I was looking for different types of platforms to post on, one of the first that I came up with was publish0x. I was super impressed with the fact that they aren't tethered to a particular coin and have such a streamlined and visually pleasing UI. On top of the fact that this is a brilliant way to do an airdrop, being able to adjust how much that you give to the author and how much you give to yourself is very compelling. With some other platforms, most all of the awards you give for an upvote go to another person--if you don't sell it to a bot, and while you do get some curation rewards, they're very minimal, and it's hard to determine precisely how much they're going to be. So the fact that you're incentivized to award authors to contribute to the community and also rewarding yourself in the process is ingenious.
Without a doubt, I'm all in on Publish0x! So I'm excited to do some more regular blog posts and contribute to this awe-inspiring community of fellow crypto enthusiasts.
