Hello everyone, and welcome to all Steem readers! Serie A's ninth matchday delivered a weekend full of goals, unexpected results and a table that is becoming increasingly difficult to predict. A total of 43 goals were scored across ten matches. Inter and Lazio remain level at the top with 25 points, Roma are still close behind, and Como and Frosinone are making their presence felt. Meanwhile, Bologna stunned Milan, Genoa defeated Juventus and Napoli returned to winning ways with an emphatic performance.

Inter and Lazio Share the Spotlight

Inter secured a 2-0 win against Venezia, although both goals came from own goals by Moreno and Halhal. It was not the most spectacular attacking display, but the result was important: three points and another clean sheet. Lazio, on the other hand, produced the most explosive performance of the round, beating Sassuolo 6-2 away from home. Taylor, Isaksen, Floriani Mussolini, Zaccagni and Noslin, with two goals, all contributed to the visitors' success. Thorstvedt and Esposito scored for Sassuolo, but the home side could not keep pace. Both teams now have 25 points. Inter have scored more goals, while Lazio boast the stronger defensive record, with only seven conceded.

Roma and Como Keep Moving Forward

Roma remain third after a 4-2 victory over Cagliari. Lulli, Pisilli, Mora and Malen found the net for the capital club, while Nzola converted a penalty and Maldini added another goal for the visitors. Roma are now on 21 points and continue to put pressure on the leaders. Como are just one point further back after winning 3-1 away at Torino. Ramon, Nico Paz and Baturina were on target, while Adams scored for the hosts. Sitting fourth with 20 points, Como are no longer just an interesting surprise: their results are turning them into a serious contender for a place among the league's leading teams.

Bologna Shock Milan as Mbangula Takes Centre Stage

One of the biggest talking points came at San Siro, where Bologna defeated Milan 4-2. Mbangula was the star of the night, scoring a hat-trick, while Bartesaghi's own goal completed the visitors' tally. Cissé scored twice for Milan, but the Rossoneri could not recover. The result gives Bologna a valuable boost and leaves Milan with questions to answer, especially about their defensive performance. Mbangula's three-goal display made him one of the standout players of the entire matchday and gave Bologna a memorable away victory.

Genoa Beat Juventus, Napoli Respond and Frosinone Shine

Genoa claimed a 2-0 win over Juventus, with goals from Ehizibue and Baldanzi. It was a difficult evening for the Bianconeri, who struggled to find a way back into the game and remain on 14 points. Napoli, meanwhile, returned to winning form with a 4-1 victory at Monza. Hojlund, Politano, Rafa Marin and De Bruyne scored for the visitors, while Varela found the net for the home team. Frosinone produced another remarkable result, defeating Lecce 5-1. Cichella, Calò from the penalty spot, Raimondo and a Birligea brace secured the win; Monteiro scored Lecce's only goal. Frosinone have now reached 17 points and sit sixth in the table.

The Other Results and the Updated Standings

Parma and Udinese played out a goalless draw, while Fiorentina and Atalanta shared four goals in a 2-2 match. Njie and João Mário scored for Fiorentina, with De Ketelaere and Zalewski replying for Atalanta. After nine rounds, Inter and Lazio lead on 25 points, followed by Roma on 21 and Como on 20. Milan are fifth with 18, while Frosinone have climbed to sixth with 17. Napoli and Juventus are level on 14 points, with Napoli ahead on goal difference. The bottom of the table remains worrying for Venezia, who have collected only three points. With 43 goals in one matchday, this round has shown just how quickly the picture can change in Serie A.

Your Turn: Who Can Stay at the Top?

The title race is far from settled. Inter have consistency and attacking power, Lazio are showing impressive defensive strength, Roma are keeping close, and Como are proving that their ambitions should be taken seriously. Frosinone are another team worth watching after their latest performance. What do you think: will Inter or Lazio take control of the league in the next few weeks?
