Spot is the newest addition to the coins you can earn on Publish0x. According to coinmarketcap.com Spot is "Spot is a decentralized, inflation resistant store of value that fills the gap between speculative cryptocurrencies and dollar substitutes". It is built on the Ampleforth and Buttonwood protocols and is governed by FORTH. OK, I have to admit it I am completely clueless here, is Spot a Stable Coin? Is it readily available on exchanges? What are its uses? Why is Publish0x using it?
Ok, I can understand the Ampleforth part and the FORTH governance but what does Buttonwood have to do with it? As a matter of fact, what is Buttonwood? I know all of these are dumb questions, but for a 61 year old guy, some of these things just go beyond my understanding, I get it, people involved in the creation of these platforms, tokens etc. are light years ahead of me in understanding what this is about, and frankly I am not worried, I know nobody is going to spend time and money on a joke, except the Doge guys and the joke was on them. Still, you know just reading a little about these things, even though it does widen my horizons also makes me realize how out of date I really am.
