In the crypto scene faucets were some of the first online sites that offered free Bitdoin satoshis in exchange for a click, a puzzle slution or a captcha. At the beginning there were some sites that gave a lot of satoshis, I have heard of some that actually gave out close to one Bitcoin per action and you could do this once a day. Of course at that time Bitcoin was not much its value was in the pennies and there was no furor over it, in fcats faucets were more like advertising venues for the coin. In spite of this I will wager many people were able to stash some nice amounts of coins by this method.

Now I started hearing about Bitcoin around 2011 when it was starting to become more known, the price was already on its way up and faucets were giving away much less amounts of satoshis, in spite of this when I learned about faucets (I live in Honduras, I don't believe in credit cards and had no way of investing in Bitcoin but wanted a piece of the action) I started using them and in those days there were a lot of them, some of them giving away up to 100,000 satoshis a shot, of course I hit the jackpot a few times and I was able to stash about 0.03 BTC just from faucets.

Being the way I am I also started seeing gambling sites with BTC and unfortunately that is where my BTC stash ended and also my working with faucets, thinking about this now I beleieve if I had continued using faucets and didn't gamble I would have maybe 1 BTC today just from faucets which would really be a good haul, over $5,000.00 just clicking I think you can't beat that.

But I still do use faucets mainly https://freedoge.co.in/ and https://freebitco.in/ you just get a very small amount of satoshis or Doges, I really use these because both of these sites (owned by the same guys) have a betting game where I get to lose all the coins I win from the faucets, but I like to play these types of games and have fun with them, so I see it as a way of enjoying myself without actually spending any money.

Now would I recommend using faucets these days? Frankly the profit you can make is so low that it is just a way of wasting your time, you are not going to make any significant money with this and I don't think it is worth it, you can  see what I mean just by the fact that I have not posted my referral link for these two sites as I don't think they are worth it.
