I guess the day is here when Crypto Social Media are slowly taking up an important space in the cyber space. I truly believe they are the way to go, and they will be the social media of the future. Some of the ones we have now will make it some will not, some will be bought by huge companies but the one thing that is not going to happen is that they disappear.
Today I am going to talk about three social media, Steemit which was the pioneer in this field and the one where I have been a member for the longest time, Uptrennd a relative new comer even though it has already reached its first year and Hive a hard fork of Steemit which is just barely over a month old.
Steemit being the first one I came upon is also the one that has been having to take the blows because it is breaking ground I believe everything that could happen happened to Steemit. Now the complete breakdown happened when Justin Sun bought it this was so challenging for some people and hurt their ideas so much that they decided to break off and create a new chain. I happen to think there was a certain degree of racism in this, I truly wonder if there would have been the same reaction if say, Vitalik Buterin had been the purchaser.

I have decided to stay at Steemit, so I am seeing some movements that I feel are not bad like the challenges where we get to get some good votes from Steemit Inc, a mercenary you say? But it certainly is way more than what we were getting before. I think Steemit is not doing bad, of course I have not the most minimal idea of what Justin Sun is up to, it could make Steemit soar or it could make Steemit crash and disappear. For the time being I have good feelings about how it is going.

Now Hive, Hive is new and it has the added benefit that many Dapps have moved there from Steem, that is a plus, also the hard fork went smoothly and for a while Hive's price was pretty good, the price has gone down dramatically and is at about $0.11 so I see nothing to talk about there, a lousy price I want it over a dollar. I do not post on Hive I find it too hard to post on both platforms so I just stick to Steemit. I do hope Hive makes it, but mostly I want its price as high as possible, convenient for everyone. Now many people have decided to post on both platforms and that is OK, I don't see anything wrong with that where you go is strictly up to you.
I do find it funny that some people who apparently hate Steemit or maybe Justin Sun find a lot of time during the day to come and bash Steemit and the idiots who are still there, never mind the fact that they are also there. I believe once these guys who have nothing else to do have powered down Steemit should be a better place. It is puzzling to me, I see no one from Steemit going to bash Hive. As for why I stayed on Steemit the reason is very simple, the guys who run Hive are the same guys who nearly ran Steem to destruction, why should I expect something different from them on Hive? So I go with the new guy, this implies change and the universe runs on change, sure I might have picked wrong, but it could also turn out both platforms succeed or both go bust, who knows.

Last I will go to Uptrennd, it is growing exponentially I am sure it has more active users than either Steemit or Hive, the community is much better, and the voting system is highly improved, any vote you get is worth the amount of the level where you are at, say for level 11 you get a vote that is worth 2 points (1 point+ 1 1UP), this system negates the power of whales, however much you have you cannot bias the rewards for a post through sheer size.
Uptrennd also happens to be more used by people from third world countries, Africa, Asia and America, probably because it is a fairer field and everyone can get his share of votes and for us guys in the third world a small amount of money can be a big difference. In fact the one place where Uptrennd is having problems is with its servers, too many people, but I hear this will be fixed soon.
So of the three I think Uptrennd is the best, then I have Steemit and Hive, I actually think at the moment Steemit looks better to me, of course Hive is very young and might surprise us, but for the mean time I have it in third place of my favorite Social Crypto sites.
