It's the fifth day of the Rollercoin advent calendar and we have received pretty nice gifts! The first one was Rollerminer S4 and the second was RollerMiner R4.
On the market, it was no surprise that we saw a massive decline in the price of those miners in particular because sudden of the increase in supply. However, I believe it is only temporary and what I see here is a good opportunity to make some profit. Here's why.
In Rollercoin you can merge miners into better versions(uncommon, epic, and so on). Lower prices will attract people who do that and will be buying more and therefore creating demand. This will lead to a decrease in the number of basic miners and eventually drag their prices back to "normal" levels.
With RollerMiner S4 we can see this already happening:

The Plan
What I've been doing is I collect the daily reward and at the end of the day try to time the bottom and then buy another one. After the price has climbed back to a normal level, or close to it, I'll then sell it making some profit.
Now, what we know is that the Advent Calendar event will last until January 14th. What we don't know are the prizes. There could very well be other gifts such as crypto and decorations as well. In the worst-case scenario, they'll keep pushing the same miner model creating too much supply and flooding the market. That would obviously flush my plan down the drain.
I'm pretty sure that won't be the case so I'll stick to my plan and buy a copy of each day's miner, hold and wait for better days. So pretty basic stuff. This is just me buying the dip.
Mining
Also, those miners I'll be holding will of course still provide mining power so it's a pretty good investment even though it could take some time before I could exit.
At the moment I've set all my miners to mine Litecoin(LTC). I don't know why but it seems that people are not that into mining LTC as we can see in this chart below. LTC mining rewards are even boosted by 50% for this week.

Am I missing something here? In my opinion, LTC is a great token to accumulate during the bear market. It's been around for a long and it's fast and easy to transact. Surely, there will be demand for it in the future.
Conclusion
Sometimes Rollercoin really pisses me off but I still feel somewhat addicted to it. My interest level stays high because I keep constantly discovering new strategies to advance in the game. Also, I have to give credit to the Rollercoin team, they keep promising new updates pretty often and what is most important, they deliver.
It may seem like a silly game on the surface but beneath that, I believe that RC can teach us about the basic laws of investing and trading.
So yeah, gonna keep rollin'!
