It is important for games to have fun. Yeah, well, that's why we would play them. But this simple formula is gently disrupted by the games you'd most likely throw out of the window. This feeling every player certainly knows, but despite the frustration, we return to such titles in spite of everything. For a very clear benchmark of such games, we could hesitate to label Flappy Bird, as the high level of difficulty was what made the game famous. Anyway, it is positive that in such games we try to overcome ourselves and achieve something that we could not otherwise do. I had similar feelings about the new part of the already quite running series on mobile devices - Pumped BMX Pro. The history of the game began in 2012 when the very first work on Android and iOS came out. Only one person worked on the game - Adam Hunt - and this "team" has not changed more or less.
Three years after the release of the first game, the series has also come to gaming consoles through collaboration with Curve Digital, bringing back the latest PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Otherwise, it boasts improved graphics, physics, a horde of tricks or new content. However, with such a monotonous title, it is certainly challenging to bring still new content that can attract players so much that they can even turn around for a newer piece if they already have co-recorded in the older ones. Still, this genre is much less popular now than it was in the past. Several different environments, dozens of tricks or challenges, is something that creators of such a game can attract an ever smaller community. All this, of course, is offered by Pumped BMX Pro

Let's make it clear in numbers - sixty levels in total - including tutorials that are set in six different environments. So the game leads you through the campaign in six different categories, where you have to deal with increasingly challenging tricks. Since I have had no experience with this series so far, I have paid great attention to the tutorial in order to navigate the game. I have to say that I have been fighting with the control much longer than it would have been healthy. However, this more or less verbal struggle was not caused by poorly set gameplay, or, indeed, my incompatibility with the game controller. As I said, the game includes 60 levels with tutorials. But they are only four, preparing you for an ever higher level of tricks. So their processing is not sufficient and in many cases I had to figure out what the game requires from me.
My beginnings were so hard, but with the time spent in the game my skills were constantly improving. I started to enjoy tricks and in the subconscious I remembered memories of Tony Hawk series or SSX, where I found in the manual the right combination of buttons for this or that trick. The minimum number of points and two or at most three completed challenges changed to 100% performance. Of course, such a scenario was true when I went back to the previous levels that I had gone to the first attempts. In fact, the game keeps pushing you to improve on your leaps, jump on and make the most elaborate tricks. At the beginning, the game will satisfy you when you arrive at your destination, but later you will not let it go until you do one of the tricks. Fortunately, the manual is always available, but over time, the movements began to submerge me and I needed less and less.

Each level consists of several challenges - you need to achieve a certain score for tricks, total scores or to meet four of the tricks. Of course, not all in one ride, just one by one. If you just want to fly through the game, you would have to go back, as the next levels will only be unlocked after you have met a certain number of challenges. Some of the motivation can be present ladder of players from all over the world. The game does matter from physics and Pumped BMX Pro doesn't matter. Every centimeter is valuable for every jump or impact. The further you advance, the more you have to avoid minor errors. You have to take for granted what you have ever been hard to handle. Occasionally, the game also makes it difficult for you to go to a few jumps, or you will have to do a trick before a photographer.
In order to take a break from the tricks for a while, the game also offers a modification of your bike. However, it is not sophisticated, you can not stick different stickers or the like and you only need to change the color of individual parts - wheels, pedals, handlebars, tires and the like. As far as the visual page is concerned, in this type of game it cannot bend and only perform its basic function. However, the current work looks a bit better than the predecessors - which is not even a big plus since the last one is from 2016, and this is already a long time in the game industry.

Pumped BMX Pro is once again highlighting the classic genre in which it revives the tricks of the legendary BMX. The game again offers dozens of levels, tricks and challenges that will keep you entertained for hours. Especially if you decide to fulfill everything to one hundred percent. However, if I compare it with Pumped BMX +, for example, the current work is poorer in content. This will certainly fade, especially if you look at the significant price difference. In practice, however, the fans of the series can look forward to continuing the series. All the more so if he still has something to offer on the gaming site.
