Apple is committed to a wide range of industries under its brand. In addition to the development of consumer electronics such as artificial intelligence, autonomous control systems or work with augmented reality. Bloomberg said Apple is working on its own space technology, according to inside information.

A secret team of developers is involved in research into space and satellite technologies, respectively. The goal is to bring the Internet and other services directly to Apple devices. It is speculated that Apple could even do without terrestrial network coverage in the future. It is also possible that satellites could be used for more accurate positioning.

The secret team currently has approximately twelve developers and engineers from the aerospace industry. Apple calculates that the outcome of their work could be put into practice within approximately five years. However, the project has not yet been officially announced and may be abandoned by Apple soon, but it may happen that work on it will continue.

It is not yet clear whether Apple is also developing its satellites as such, or would place its devices on satellites of an existing manufacturer. If Apple itself wanted to launch its satellites, it would associate with companies such as SpaceX or Amazon that are planning, or have already begun, massive projects to fill Earth's orbit in the coming years. Its capacity and possible irreversible changes due to its over-dimensioning have recently begun to be discussed as a great danger in the context of massive projects involving thousands of satellites.
