CoinGecko is running a social media follwer-gathering campaign on SweepWidget right now through the end of the year, and by clicking a few links you can earn a $5 coupon code.
If you’re unfamiliar with the name “CoinGecko,” this is the crypto tracking platform that is integrated for posting stats about coins in Publish0x articles, like this:
To get the code, join this SweepWidget and click on 4 of the links.
It looks like that’s it— the code appears automatically & instantly.
Do I need to have socials???
Nope. I don’t have most socials, and most of them didn’t verify. The only one that checked was the Telegram link, and it asked me for my Telegram username. I imagine that after this verification I could leave the channel.
Bonus eBook!
There is also a book listed as earnable for ten “entries,” which is the CoinGecko guide “How to Bitcoin.” The site only has 8 entries (including the one you get for registering), so if you want the book you have to get at least 2 people to sign up through your link.
Are there other ways to get these things?
Yep. CoinGecko also has a mobile app where you can collect daily “Gecko Candies,” which can be spent on rewards.

The book and a $10 store credit each cost 800 candies.
What else can I do with candies?
Other rewards include some other books they have, and they have been known to run discounts on both digital and material crypto-related products and services such as hardware wallets, tax services, VPNs, news subscriptions, and swag stores like CryptoCloaks and Blockchain Stuff…
Every now and then they also have entries for NFT giveaways, or NFTs available in limited numbers, like this one, which was my very first NFT ever. (I traded my gecko candies for a gecko with candies.)
So what’s in the store?
Currently, it is only the series of eBooks and a listing for a swag pack (t-shirt, mask, lanyard, notebook) that is sold out.
There is no expiration date on this code, though, so…
But what’s CoinGecko really about?
Srs Bsns.

(Shit, that’s an old image. Look at that laptop!)
Track the movements of your favorite projects easily by searching for them, save them to your watchlist for easier viewing, or add the amount you personally own to watch your portfolio performance. (Nothing is ever connected to your wallets, you identify the amounts and purchase/sale/transfer prices & dates manually.)
Each listed coin has a page with stats & movements:

And an Exchanges page to show how the prices compare across the network:

My favorite feature is the calculator, which shows conversion rates:

I have mine displaying BTC and USD because I live in the states, but you can set your own preferences for primary and secondary currency.
Here I have the price of Ampleforth displaying in Sats & Ethereum:

Unfortunately this function seems limited to the major coins & world currencies at the moment.
Essentially, CoinGecko is useful for current & historical performance data on crypto.
