Smashed Up

Smashed Up

By emily2u | From the Heart | 12 Aug 2021

With stress, I am unable to cope,
Smashed up is my parents’ hope.
Introduced to marijuana,
By new acquaintances;
Don’t worry about consequences,
For it is my manna.

Pleased long as there’s supply,
Sometimes threats I apply,
Just to grab the prize.
Surrendered my aspirations,
With folks, get into confrontations,
Willing to pay any price.

From home, forced to evict,
Just because I’m an addict.
No one cares I’ve lost my way ---
They don’t offer a remedy,
Stay far like I’m a malady,
Won’t listen to what I’ve to say.
