Soaring higher and higher,
With no care in the world,
The sun is in my eyes.
The warmth it emits,
Bathes me thoroughly.
The vast expanse of sky,
Receives me completely,
With wide open arms,
When I’m lost and alone,
With no friend of my own.
I’m just a little bird,
Have no parents,
But somehow endured,
When heavens opened up
And I was drenched.
Rain was my food,
Gave me enough vigor,
Day by day I grew,
In this world of pain,
With no friend of my own.
