Bells are ringing
--- In my head.
They’re warning
About what you said.
How do I distinguish
What’s true or not?
I’m in anguish,
Emotions in a knot.
Why have you lied?
Was it once or was it twice?
What is it you want to hide?
Answers elude me, I’m so unwise.
You can restore my trust,
I’ll forgive and forget.
But explain, you must,
Or this is over, I say with much regret.
