This golden jubilee,
Is time for rejoicing.
We can recall the past in glee,
And savor the icing.
Half a century,
Countless years of strive.
On this fiftieth anniversary,
We’ve quite a comfortable life.
Oh, wouldn’t have succeeded,
Without family and friends.
They have unfailingly supported,
Till “poor” is a word in the past tense.
Today, we’re going to thank
All who have played a role
In uplifting our rank,
Helped us off the dole.
