Down the road today I go on my way,
Leaving all my cares behind.
Can’t be gay if I don’t have any say,
It’s better to stop the daily grind.
No fun to always be on the run
And not face my real emotions.
If a fight’s to be won, something’s gotta be done,
So I’ve to check my options.
Will find out what I can do before I turn blue,
‘Cos ‘tis no life I planned to have.
The number one rule is to stay true
To myself the remaining days I’ve left.
If I want to be merry, there’s no time to tarry,
But start walking a brand new road.
The past I’ll bury, extra baggage, won’t carry,
To seek harmony in my abode.
