You lie on this bed,
Neither dead nor alive.
Whatever the doctors said,
You’ll come back to life.

By your side I stay,
Providing support and care,
Twenty-four hours a day ---
Leave you awhile, don’t dare.

Down on my knees,
To God I pray nightly.
I’m willing to pay fees,
For you to awaken brightly.

To you I’m pleading,
Not to give in.
Do continue trying,
This battle you must win.
