I haven’t money for a gift,
Only a hand in friendship,
A sympathetic ear,
A shoulder to lean on.
If you fall, I’ll give you a lift,
Help during times of hardships.
Your success I will loudly cheer,
If you’re sad, be with you till dawn.
I’ll never set adrift
Our priceless relationship.
Your angst I’m prepared to hear
‘Cos of you I’m most fond.
All your problems I can deal with
As I feel a special kinship.
Always want you to be near,
Won’t like it when you’re gone.
