Lying awake this wintry night,
Sleep eludes me.
My heart feels light,
Thinking of my trip out to sea.
We were on a sailing boat,
Was already late.
I forgot to take along my coat,
It was pure fate.
Just the start of winter,
Temperature was low.
From the galley, I saw you enter,
From you came a bright glow.
You loaned me your jacket,
There and then began our love,
Oblivious to the racket,
Of our friends above.
