False Hope

False Hope

By emily2u | From the Heart | 16 Aug 2021

I’d rather tell you now,
Perhaps later we’d row.
Going to speak loud and clear,
So you don’t wrongly hear.

You’ve got an impression,
Watched too much television.
You’re carrying a false hope,
Thinking you can depend on dope.

Aren’t yet at the deep end,
I beg you to return to land.
It’s fine to just experiment,
Treating it as a condiment.

However, carry on with it,
Soon, you’d be hard hit.
I’m not being quarrelsome,
But if you die, I’d be lonesome.
