Mosquito buzzes near my ear
Irritating me out of dreamland;
As I lounge by the poolside
And closed my eyes for a nap.
Watch showing just 9pm
Too early for bed, or is it?
It's time to just unwind
Doing nothing, drink in hand.
It's been a tough few days
Many challenges to tackle,
But all those have passed
Happy with the outcome.
What can I say?
Life and its ups and downs
Just ride the wave, I know
Though easier said than done.
