You teased me witlessly,
Made me excited.
Though heart beating erratically,
It was nothing, I pretended.
To my ears,
Your laughter, melodious.
Tried to be fierce,
For it was torturous.
Your sweet voice,
Gave me goose pimples.
I’d control myself with a choice,
But caught off guard by your dimples.
You were one of the angels
Who meted out punishment;
Made fools of singles,
For your own contentment.
