Cinnamon Rolls

The preparation of cinnamon rolls is not particularly difficult, but it takes a bit of time since we need to wait for the dough to rise.

For the dough, you'll need: 500g of flour (you can also use spelt flour), 2 tablespoons of sugar (brown sugar can be used), a packet of rum-flavoured sugar, a packet of vanilla sugar, 2 egg yolks, 300ml of milk, 7g of yeast, 100g of butter, and a pinch of salt.

First, mix the yeast with a third of the warm milk and sugar. Let it sit for 10 minutes to activate the yeast. Then, add this mixture to the flour, softened butter, and egg yolks. Knead the dough for at least 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and soft. Let the dough rise for at least 45 minutes.

For the filling, melt 150g of butter and mix it with 150g of brown sugar and a tablespoon of cinnamon. Roll out the dough evenly and spread the filling on top, then roll it up. Slice the rolls into your desired thickness. Place the rolls on a baking tray, leaving enough space for them to rise. Let them rise for 30-40 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Once the rolls have risen, brush them with the melted butter and bake for 20 minutes.

Serve them warm. Enjoy your synonym rolls 😉 !
