we've misgendered babies and pets since the dawn of time. neither have ever been upset about it. maybe their parents were. but nowadays it seems mostly those who want to change their gender are upset about misgenderment... i guess that's fair though since they're hypersensitive to being referred to improperly according to them. but i just want to add that i get called all kinds of names that aren't my name. Keith, Ethan, Steve, Pete, Eth, Heat... but it doesn't bother me. i take the responsibility for misintroducing myself. we have to quit focusing energy on blaming others for misunderstanding us. eventually there ends up being a group of people who go around looking for someone to misunderstand them. that so they end up chasing the opportunity to rectify the misunderstanding. but they need an oppressor... so they go around testing everyone but themselves!
