When Everything Goes Up: Why Bull Markets Make Everyone Forget Risk

When the charts are green, it’s easy to believe you’re a genius. Every trade hits. Every dip gets bought. Every coin looks like the next big thing. The noise feels good because for once it’s all going your way.

You start thinking maybe this time is different. That you finally figured it out. You tell yourself you’ll take profits soon, but not yet I'm just going let it get a bit higher. You start watching the numbers instead of the projects. The price becomes the story.

It happens every cycle. People who swore they’d stay cautious start aping into things they don’t understand. Risk doesn’t disappear it just hides behind the excitement. And by the time you see it again, it’s already too late.

The truth is, bull markets don’t just make prices go up they change how we think. Fear turns into FOMO. Doubt turns into confidence. And the lessons from the last crash start to fade like they never happened.

I’ve seen people make more money than they ever imagined and lose it all the same year. Not because they were unlucky but because they forgot the basics. They forgot that markets don’t move in straight lines. That greed feels a lot like optimism until it doesn’t.

There’s nothing wrong with enjoying the ride. Bull markets are fun. They bring energy, ideas, and new people into the space. But they also blur the line between smart and lucky. And if you can’t tell which one you are, that’s when it gets dangerous.

So when everything’s green again and it feels like risk doesn’t exist, just remember it always does. It never leaves. It just waits for the moment everyone forgets to look.
