An Honest Review/Opinion of Crypto Faucets
(Is it A Way to Earn Free Crypto that 1 Day Will Become Profitable OR Is it A Scam?)
I was new to the crypto world and stumbled across crypto faucet sites, and they seemed like a good/easy way to familiarize myself with cryptocurrency & learn about the crypto market without having to risk/invest any of my own money. If anyone is interested in faucets after reading this I will post my links to all the legit faucet sites I was able to find and successfully make withdraws from below, at the bottom of this page.
What Are Faucets & How Do they Work?
Faucets are sites that offer small amts. of crypto for completing simple tasks on their site. The simplest way to earn on these sites is by clicking on a button then doing the captcha to confirm you’re not a robot to claim your crypto (you can usually do this and claim from the site every 30mins. to an hour). But most faucet sites also give you the opportunity to earn even more crypto by completing other offers on their site (such as clicking/viewing PTC ads for 10sec. to a minute, watching 2min. videos, completing surveys, downloading apps., etc.).
Unfortunately while learning about faucets over the past yr. I found that most of the faucet sites were scams and either had extremely high minimum withdraw amts. required to make a withdraw from their sites while only allowing you to earn an extremely low amt. of crypto at a time, making withdraws unattainable from them; or as you continued to earn crypto on their site they would continually raise the required minimum withdraw amt. needed to make a withdraw making it impossible for you to ever withdraw any of the crypto that you have earned. The worst part of these scam faucet sites is that you never can tell that the site is scamming you until months after using the site because it takes you months of your time and effort to earn the minimum crypto withdraw amts. required to make a withdraw. This was understandably very frustrating, and out of all the many of faucet sites I have used over the past year I would say that about only 6 of these faucets were actually legit sites that had obtainable minimum withdraw totals required to make a withdraw and then allowed me to successfully withdraw all that crypto I spent time earning to my account/wallet that I use to store my cryptocurrency on.
Playing around with these faucet sites & claiming the faucets of crypto/altcoins that I thought would do well/become the most profitable in the future, helped me get a grasp on how the crypto market works and what crypto/altcoins are the most profitable and which ones were junk and worthless. This is why I found faucets to be very useful during my learning curve; because I could become familiar with all the different kinds of crypto/altcoins that are out there (which are many), without having to risk and lose any of my own finances.
Before I go any further please keep in mind that FAUCETS ARE NOT A GET RICH QUICK SKEEM, you earn very little crypto for each faucet claim, so be practical about what you can earn using them, you most likely will not be able to become wealthy from this. That being said, my research is based off of doing the bare minimum on these sites, which is why I did not earn much and others using these sites claim that they were able to make a much larger profit from using these sites by completing the other offers the site has to earn additional crypto, but I cannot vouch for this.
While using these faucets I did the bare minimum work on them to earn crypto. Every few days I would “roll the faucet” on the site and then occasionally view the PTC ads and watch video ads to earn crypto, and on 1 or 2 sites completed about 4 surveys. I would say that I was active about 15 days total each month doing this on each of the sites.
On average I would say that I was able to earn about $10 worth of crypto on each of the legit sites that I found over a 6 month time period, doing the bare minimum effort.
I know that does not seem like a lot, especially over a 6mo. time period, but keep in mind that $10 here and there does add up and crypto prices are continuously rising in value, almost doubling every couple months. Also I was a newbie to the crypto world and didn’t want the financial risk of investing my own money during my learning curve regarding the crypto market, and was using faucets to become familiar with the crypto market and all of the different kinds of crypto/altcoins on the market. Additionally, if you are willing to be more active on the sites and complete other offers, such as completing surveys or downloading apps. you will be able to earn much more than I did.
My honest opinion of faucets, they are not for everyone and that they are not a get rich quick idea. You do not earn much by doing the bare minimum on these sites but they do offer opportunities to earn more; and the little that you do earn does have the potential to become a profitable investment in the future, especially since crypto prices continually seem to be doubling every few months. Also I found faucets to be an easy and financially risk free way to familiarize yourself with all the different crypto/altcoins, and learn how the crypto market works, so when you are ready to invest your own money you are able to make educated and profitable investments that allow you to earn the most.
