I don’t think they’re right.
But while looking deeper into the Solana ecosystem recently, I did stumble on something interesting that actually illustrates the kind of economy Solana can enable.
A platform called Tramplin:

Let me explain.
VanEck recently published one of the boldest predictions for Solana. Their model says SOL could reach $3,000+ by 2030 in a bullish scenario.
That’s a massive call.
Their thesis is that the first crypto ecosystem to support a consumer app with 100M+ users could capture enormous value.
And to make that happen, the chain needs to be:
• fast
• cheap
• scalable for real users
Solana is one of the few chains that currently fits that description.
Think about applications like:
• global payments
• gaming economies
• social networks
• high-frequency trading apps
If one of those truly explodes on Solana, the network value could grow massively.
Now, I’m still skeptical.
Crypto valuation models often assume smooth adoption curves, while in reality narratives rotate quickly and liquidity moves fast. Solana already had one huge cycle driven by memecoins and trading activity. For a $3K valuation, it would probably need a completely new wave of applications.
But this is where something like Tramplin becomes interesting.
It’s basically native SOL staking, meaning your SOL stays in your wallet and is simply delegated to a validator on the network.
But the twist is in how rewards are distributed.
Instead of everyone earning the same yield, staking rewards are pooled and randomly redistributed, so some participants receive larger payouts.
In other words, staking becomes a bit like a lottery-style savings system.
And that’s actually a good example of the kind of gamified economy Solana can support: financial primitives that feel closer to apps or games than traditional finance.
This kind of experimentation is exactly what could eventually lead to the kind of consumer crypto products VanEck is imagining.
Does that mean SOL goes to $3K?
I’m not convinced.
But it does show how the ecosystem is trying new models that only really work on fast and cheap chains like Solana.

Curious to see what kind of apps this ecosystem builds next.
