Is Ethereum (ETH) Really Deflationary?

According to recent articles, ETH weekly supply would have been deflationary for the first time this week, due to Xen Crypto launch.

Does it mean it was not deflationary till now?

As we can see on the graph above, since the Merge 28 days ago, ETH supply has increased by 0.07 percent. Projected on one year, it would be less than 1 percent. It is not fully deflationary yet, but it is lower than the inflation of Bitcoin (BTC) and most of the altcoins, except the ones which frequently burn huge amounts, like Binance Coin (BNB).
