Etherlink, Tezos Revenge?

Etherlink, Tezos Revenge?

I'm earning apples on Apple Farm... If you want to earn apples (XTZ airdrop) too, you may click here: http://app.applefarm.xyz/referral?code=APPLE-FARM-751065

And honestly? It's got me thinking about something bigger than just another yield farm.

Remember Tezos (XTZ)? The blockchain that was supposed to change everything back in 2017? The one that raised $232 million in its ICO and then kind of... faded into the background while Ethereum and Solana took all the spotlight?

Well, Etherlink might just be Tezos's comeback story.

For those who haven't been paying attention, Etherlink is Tezos's EVM-compatible Layer 2 solution. And before you roll your eyes at another L2, hear me out. This isn't just another rollup trying to solve Ethereum's gas problems. This is Tezos leveraging everything it learned from years of being the "forgotten" smart contract platform.

The tech is genuinely interesting. Etherlink uses Smart Rollup technology that's native to Tezos, offering EVM compatibility while maintaining decentralization. The fees are cheap (we're talking fractions of a cent), and the throughput is impressive. But more importantly, it's breathing new life into the Tezos ecosystem.

Apple Farm is just one example of what's being built. Sure, it's a gamified farming experience, but it represents something larger—developers are actually building on Etherlink. The ecosystem is growing. There's real activity happening.

So is this Tezos's revenge? Maybe. Maybe not. But here's what I know: writing off entire ecosystems in crypto has historically been a mistake. Tezos has been quietly improving its tech for years while everyone was looking elsewhere. Etherlink gives them a bridge to Ethereum's massive developer community and liquidity.

The question isn't whether Etherlink is technically sound—it is. The question is whether anyone cares enough to build a thriving ecosystem on it. And judging by what I'm seeing with projects like Apple Farm and others launching, there might be something here.

Sometimes revenge is a dish best served cold. And sometimes it's served with apples.

What do you think? Is Etherlink the comeback Tezos deserves, or just another L2 in an oversaturated market?
