Due to the advertised Presearch contest from Publish0x I decided to give this new search engine a try. New competition is always appreciate and things like these will only get older well established companies to innovate as we go along. So after signing up with Presearch and going through the tutorial I decided to give things a spin and this is the Good/Meh/Bad of my time with it.
Good:
1. We get a new coin for doing something we all use everyday anyways, searching on a search engine. All of us here because we are enthusiastic about crypto and having another coin only adds to this enthusiasm.
2. The aesthetics, love the look of the site its extremely clean and the blue and white tones just hit the right notes for me I love it.
3. Interesting option for ad capabilities. The fact that you can use tokens and essentially stake those tokens to have your ad appear higher on the list looks incredibly intriguing to me and anyone who is a content creator. There are so many possibilities here.
Meh:
1. It's interesting to add the ability to go to other standard websites to do other searches with but I don't see why this is needed, if I wanted to go search on google I would.
2. Search speed is relatively slow. On average takes about 2 seconds for me to get a result from my search, this is usually instant with google, not sure if this is a server issue or the fact that google also probably has some dedicated pipelines built for its users.
Bad:
1. Withdrawal of balance is only available when you hit 1000 PRE tokens, and you make roughly 0.12 per search. While yes searching is just something will do everyday and you are essentially getting this for nothing. This is going to take a hell of a long time to get. Considering realistically I can't imagine someone doing more than 5-10 searches a day unless they were doing some research. I barely average more than 5 searches a day right now. I think I'll be 60 by the time I can take out my pretokens.
Will I ultimately be using this ? Most likely not, love how these companies are trying new things and I'll probably give it a try for a bit but I doubt this is a long term thing for me.
