So after reading about all these articles about NFTs and just in general pondering how interesting they were from the perspective of content creators.  Its essentially taking some power back from middlemen such as art galleries or production labels, so I decide to try and go figure out if creating a NFT was difficult at all.

Now due to this being my first foray into even trying anything NFT related I decided to take a look at what easily usable resources were out there for me, a couple websites caught my eye like mintable and rarible but I decided to not do anything Eth related and instead settled on creating it within WAX.  When first logging in to WAX cloud wallet there's actually a banner that helps points you into the right direction of creating you first NFT.  And low an behold was I surprised at the ease of use. 

The Process:

When first creating your NFT you need to define a few key attributes, default attributes are name and image, however you can add extra attributes and basically whatever you like.  I decided to add 2, one being rarity and another being mint.  While I don't really expect to make too many of these NFTs, I guess it really depends on the response I get.  The theme I settled on was Office Memes, and that this series of NFTs would be devoted to creating anything meme worthy related to office life in general.  If you have seen some of my other blog posts you'll know I'm just an average white collared worker and while I don't love it, there are hilarious things about office life that only those who work there would understand and this NFT series would be an homage to that.  In the end I decided to spend some time and create some art within MSPAINT and drew a red stapler!  For those who ever watched the movie office space, they'll understand and know this reference.

So, what was my first NFT creation experience like? Quite frankly extremely easy and pain free, honestly sometimes with crypto I've come to expect a learning curve or a somewhat painful experience to do whatever it is I want to do, the first time even buying crypto a few years back when exchanges weren't as developed was a painful process.  But I'm happy to say this experience was amazing and would highly recommend others to try just as an experiment.  And if anyone feels like supporting me or wants me to create more of these office related bit art, feel free to bid on the item or leave a tip below.
