I would like to share my predictions as well as some tips for new investors as part of the #MyCryptoOutlook2022 initiative by Bityard.
Although going through a bit of a hard time these days, one should not forget that crypto market is still in its early days and volatility is a given in this market. The market will definitely turn around and I think there will be even bigger adoption of the cryptos thanks to NFT and DEFI market along with new Layer 1 projects in 2022.
Just for the reference I have been through 3 of the 7 biggest crypto crashes in history and every time we have come out stronger. It wasn't only cryptos came out stronger, it was also myself. For reference you can find all the crashes here. What I have learned riding through the process is that one should never ever invest based on a tip from someone and should always DYOR. The second important topic is that the ticker price does not mean anything. What matter is that the market cap of the coin. As the popularity of cryptos grow, I see many people investing on tokens that have $0.00000000000001111 sort of ticker value and expecting it is going to one day reach $1. This is technically not possible. For this to happen, not only the whole world and the planets within Milky way and also rest of the extrasolar planetary creatures and quite sizeable of them must invest in that token, unless its market cap is $1 :)
Once all of these are eliminated, one should always look for quality and ask themselves whether they see this project existing in 5-10 years time. It is always recommended that the risk should ALWAYS ALWAYS be spread multiple projects within the budget that's been speared to invest Cryptos. More importantly, your investment portfolio should include Stocks, Commodities, ETFs and extra cash on the side to take advantage of market movements.
After a bit of warning to new investors, I would like to go into one of the token analysis as part of the Bityard contest. ETH is the one that I would like to analyse. Just a quick note I am heavily invested in ETH and staking most of my ETH for ETH 2.0. So my analysis can be little bit biased and can include little bit hopium. So don't take my word for it and DYOR. With the merge of Proof of Stake (POS) and finally moving into ETH 2.0, the ETH network will solve most of its extortionate Gas Fee issues as well as scaling problems. When considering quite a sizeable number of Crypto Projects use Ethereum Network, this is a huge development and it will make ETH network more accessible to more investors. You can find more detailed info on ETH Potential in 2022 in a Youtube video by Coin Bureau below. I would like to also stress Coin Bureau is a good source of information on Cryptos in general.
Whatever it is that you want to invest, just remember this is actually a marathon, so don't run it as you are running the 100 mt. Also remember when you are writing Crypto, you must write cry. So there could be hard times, it is how you handle these times will make a difference. If any project is offering you high gains, always go in with caution. Happy investing.
