It's officially the day after Christmas. I know this year has certainly had it's ups and downs, but to me it's been so action packed that it has very literally just flown by.
Covid has taken it's effect on everyone this year. Let's face it, for the bulk of the year it's been all everyone and anyone can talk about. Some have gone completely absorbed in fear of it. Some are completely indifferent of it at this point. I am not ashamed to say that I fall into the later category. I would so much rather not be afraid then to cower in a corner. But that is of course just my view on it. If you like to cower then by all means cower. However, in my experience cowering doesn't keep you anymore safe then standing tall. I've been through many walks of life. At 26 years old most look at me and think I can't possibly understand life and its difficulties. I've been in and out of an abusive relationship, lost one child, nearly lost another, been married to said abuser and have been separated and working on my first divorce.
Show me someone who smiles all of the time and I can and will show you that their life is not as easy as it looks. Things get difficult but at the end of the day, the end of the year, what matters most is how YOU dealt with those difficult things. Did you run? Cower? Stand tall? Can you live and forgive your own reactions? That's the bigger question. And only you can answer that.
Me? I can live with how I've moved past my last year. Actually, to be honest I'm pretty happy with myself. I spent the holiday with family, my daughter, nephews, mother, step father, sister. We put up and decorated 2 trees this year, which was both fun and completely awful all at once.
And I really honestly spent most of my time baking. In the past few days I've made 4 different types of cheesecakes, assisted in making a pineapple upside down cake and I still have cookies to make lol. I may be a fool but I can assure you I am a happy one. Family, and sweets, along with presents under a tree. What could be better then that?
Many programs are still running Christmas specials, Ibotta being one of them. For those of you who are unfamiliar, it is a coupon app for android and I believe also apple. If you redeem 18 offers from now until I believe the middle of January they give you a bonus $10. Which is helpful for me with all of the cooking and other things I'm doing throughout the holidays. Also, you get $10 for referring other people who actively use the site/app. I installed the app last month, referred 2 people and made $32.50 which I transferred to paypal and used for whatever we needed. It was nice to make a little from all of the shopping I normally have to do anyway.
For those of you who are interested in that my code is: gseaotw. You just fill that in when you download or sign up. You have to shop anyway, why not find a little extra money in something you have to do?
This is a great thing for those of you who are being pinched in the USA because of Covid.
Meanwhile, if anyone is into Cosmos, it has been my favorite crypto thus far. I invest in it on Coinbase, when it's low. It's a nice asset to have in Coinbase because they are one of the platforms that give you 5% APY on it as soon as you have at least one full “token”. Currently, the value of Cosmos is $4.88 a token. I've seen it as high as $5.05, so for buying low and selling high it is still a good time to invest in this particular token. However, for those of you who would like a bigger profit, it has been as low as $4.75 in the past week. So, buy or wait, either way given it's highs and lows it isn't a bad little investment at the moment.
I hope you all had wonderful prosperous holidays.
