I'm back in the city... it's raining!
vehicles in play of light
circulate through the avenues
flooded with broken clouds.
I'm looking for a nonexistent perfect day.
Gone sun, it spins
sunflowers in paintings
by Van Gogh.
Swallows don't fly yet
with summers on their wings
they rest in distant hallucinatory sun.
I have returned to the city to contemplate
the overflowing river, the young forest
that one day we sowed,
our roots were lost
Names
there they remain ripening the fruit
of love never forgotten.
I'm back in town
it rains on the sleeping bell towers,
the smell of bronze runs through the streets,
the clocks announce death
pm.
I'm back in town
as a time traveler
memory juggles
on the tightrope of nostalgia.
I'm back in town
Under this downpour I wet your lips
of poetry, I look at myself in the depth
From your eyes, we hold hands
and we played hopscotch jumping puddles
like when we were kids.
