despite its uselessness

it's a side comment
a tiny asterisk of time
in that frightening void that is outer space

inert matter lurking
from millions and millions of light years
Einstein's and Kant's laws
noticing the limits of the imagined universe

loneliness is not something then that hurts
because the others are not
