We move from Prague to Edinburgh for part 3 of the series. I visited Edinburgh in March of 2019 and liked it a lot. The city has a very interesting feel to it, old town being built from black stone gives it a very mystic and gothic look. In this post we will take a look at one of the city's main places of worship - St Giles' Cathedral.

The Cathedral's tower can be seen from a far in the darkening sky. I visited the inside of the Cathedral earlier in the day though so there was natural light inside. I captured some of my favourite details of the beautiful building.

I find stained glass windows such a beautiful art form, and here there are many. I love how the natural light below the window reveals intricate details.

Probably the most astonishing part of the Cathedral is the Thistle Chapel. It was built in 1911 by the initiative of the Order of the Thistle. The Knights of the Thistle meet in the Chapel at least once a year.

The roof of the Chapel is impressive to say the least.

Even the lanterns have beautiful stained glass.

The pipe organ of the Cathedral. It imitates the prow of a ship and uses red-stained Austrian oak along with decorative bronze and glass features. The Cathedral is a beautiful piece of art and history and I suggest visiting it for anyone that finds themselves in Edinburgh.

Here is an extra shot from Prague that I didn't fit into my last 2 posts in the series. I love the mood and lighting in this one. Thanks for reading! Next we will visit Barcelona and it's stunning architecture. Cheers!
