Over the years,I have always wondered how bridges were created. Adults amongst us told us different kinds of myths about it . Some said that the marine spirits were appeased and all sorts of things.I decided to conduct a research and share it with you guys.

There are different methods of doing it but i am going to tell you about the one that intriques me the most. It is called the "cofferdam method" . A cofferdam is a structure that retains water and soil that allows the enclosed area to be pumped out and excavated dry. It is commonly used for construction of bridges piers and other. Support structure built in water.
Simply put,it is created as a barrier in a body of water which allows the process of dewatering of water within an enclosed area .
After all that is done , the construction of the bridges commence and that's all .
