Kickstarter hits the blockchain

By Doortoblockchain | DTB News | 10 Dec 2021

The crowdfunding company Kickstarter will begin to implement its services on a blockchain, actually a smartchain, as it could not be otherwise.
But it is not about Ethereum but about a fork of it: Zeal.

Celo is a smartchain based on Ethereum since it is a fork of it but has criticisms for being much more centralized.
Kickstarter does not intend to create a smartcontract and a new website, but believes that it will develop this new platform without drawing attention to the website itself, so that it is implemented without changes to its service.

Does this make any sense?

There are precisely many DAOs in Ethereum, Solana, etc. Where have already created smartcontracts to crowdfund with the advantages of the crypto world: transparency as the visible code of how the application works, ease of implementation by anyone and ease of fork by the community as everything is open. Thus reducing the transaction costs of the consumer by reducing the intrmediation of the service.

Is Kickstarter doomed?
