Comic strip about YouTube

My experience on X, part 2

By ROcrypton | @R0crypton | 7 hours ago

I've really enjoyed appling what I´ve learned from X about getting views.

A few days ago, as you may have seen, YouTube was trending as one of the most popular posts after announcing changes to its monetization metrics, if I'm not mistaken, starting next month.

Currently, 4000 watch hours, among other metrics, are required for a channel to be eligible for monetization, a rule that will increase to 8000 hours... of course, this caused quite a stir on the internet.

Then I remembered I had an old comic strip about an event when YouTube simply went down for a few minutes in Brazil (I'm not sure if this happened in any other country). So the idea was to adapt the description since this strip has no dialogue (strips without text are usually the best when you manage to convey exactly what you want to convey right). I emphasized the idea of a "gift from heaven" and piggybacked on the YouTube post, and watched a strip with 500 views jump to 20,000 views. If I had timed the post correctly, I could have gotten many more views

I'd really like to share the screenshot with you.

I feel like good things are coming my way in my carrer as a cartoonist. I´m still looking for the perfect niche for me, and especially because of how fast things move on social media, and I´ve found that the three-panel commic is the format that works best for me. So from now on, I´ll probably focus on getting better at it!
