right before we continue, you must keep in mind that mining doge requires a good GPU, CPU and intel core. It also takes a lot of time for 1 doge, so be patient! (The difficulty on doge was 4 million on this time of writing)
Step 1: Be Patient
This process is not fast to setup. It can take up to 4 days depending on your internet speed and computer. Luckily, it’s not 4 days at your computer, you just need to let it run.
Step 2: Get a Dogecoin Wallet
here are many options for wallets. Here’s what I recommend. ◦ Go to dogecoin.com and download the Core wallet for your OS. ◦ It can take a VERY long time to download. Make sure you have plenty of space on your hard drive (at least 50gb) ◦This downloads the ENTIRE blockchain to your device. If you already have a wallet, or when it is complete move onto Step 2.
Step 3: Choose a Mining Pool
The 2nd wallet I personally use and Recommend is https://my.dogechain.info it’s amazing, good for beginners, secure and simple to use.
There are many options for pools. This is what I use personally. https://zpool.ca/
On the ZPOOL website there’s a link to the miners that are optimized for ZPOOL. I use NPlusMiner. It requires very little setup. ◦ Download and unzip straight from GitHub https://github.com/MrPlusGH/NPlusMiner-ZPool-Edition/releases
Step 4: Setup NplusMiner
Once Unzipped, it will likely update when you first open it. At the time of writing this it updated to 7.6.2/3.0 on GitHub.
◦ Go to your wallet and create a receiving address. Input that receiving address as your “Wallet Address”.
*Note: You should change your receiving address periodically.*
Optimally you should change it for every single payout, this is done to increase security.
◦ Under the CONFIG tab, change the Payout Currency to DOGE.

Go back to Zpool and click Wallet at the top. Input your wallet’s receiving address.
◦ Make sure this address is the SAME receiving address you put into NPlusMiner.
◦ This is the address that Zpool will send to when your coins are ready.
◦On NPlusMiner click “Start” and it will start benchmarking your system. For me this took about 2 hours of it testing all the algorithms that are best for my computer.
◦ Once the benchmarking is complete, it will run for 16 minutes in donation mode. NPlusMiner will run 16 minutes per day to donate coins to the developers.
◦ After that’s all complete, just let it all run and watch the $DOGE trickle in!
Conclusion
My first 19 hours after finally setting this up, I mined ~50 coins on an 1080Ti, and i7.
◦ I used roughly 7 kw/h at roughly 16 cents each. Cost me about 1 dollar in electricity.
◦ I created about 20 cents of $DOGE.
At it’s current value ($0.07USD)
◦I am operating at a loss, but there is no personal data of mine being passed around the internet. I think that’s worth it if this coin goes to the moon one day.
