Yesterday I was invited to Decentraland meetup organized by Bitcoin Malaysia community, as always it's great to meet up with friends in the community and see familiar faces and meet new people from the Blockchain industry.

'Decentraland' is a decentralized virtual reality platform powered by the Ethereum blockchain. Within the Decentraland platform, users will be able to create, experience, and monetize their content and applications.

The meetup aspires to connect with entrepreneurs, technologies, animators, artist, and overall tech community in Malaysian to share and discuss the idea of decentralized social platforms where one can create and share digital contents such as digital artworks, games, and other applications. The team also shared great insights on the inner workings of Decentraland and how you can win in the Decentraland hackathon that is coming up called Game Jam (https://gamejam.decentraland.org/).

The Decentraland team is doing great activities to raise more awareness of these new development paradigms enabled by Distributed ledger technology and to nurture the digital talent in Malaysia.
