A couple of months ago, Slice (addslice.com) was recommended as a cool extension for easy passive income. "You browse, we pay" looked like a reasonable deal. However, recently, something went terribly wrong. If you look through recent customer reviews on Trustpilot and Slice forums over the last couple of months, you'll see that the common conclusion is: Slice doesn't pay its customers anymore and uses fake verifications to freeze the customers' funds. Today I'm going to show you exactly how Slice froze my funds and why you have to uninstall this extension immediately.
📈 How I Actually Earned My $4.58 (The 40 Sats Daily Streak)
It's time for some honesty: just browsing some random banner ads earns you pennies. If you want to earn any real money with Slice, you have to use their Daily Streak Bonus feature. The deal is simple: the more consecutive days you log into Slice, the bigger your daily award becomes. You earn 1 Satoshi extra for each day until it reaches 40 Satoshis per day. As long as you keep the streak alive and don't skip a day, you'll get 40 Sats per day infinitely. This is precisely how I managed to earn the major portion of my balance. I logged in every day, grew my streak, and successfully accumulated $4.58 (6,302 Sats). However, at the time of claiming my money, the website turned against me.
The Phone Verification Wall & The VPN Excuse As you can see from the screenshot above, my earned money is fully blocked. My balance hasn't been accessible for 2-3 months already due to the mandatory "Verify your Phone" wall. This is where the trap starts:
- The Broken Interface: Each time I enter my phone number in order to receive the verification code, the system doesn't even try to send me an SMS. It just crashes immediately and shows me a vague error.

- The Automated Ban: Slice uses an aggressive algorithm of fraud detection. For example, I used a VPN service only for 2-3 hours a few times in order to watch some movies online. Even though I used it purely for browsing only for the rest of the day, this kind of algorithm loves to use any temporary usage of a VPN as a perfect reason to get some bugs going, mark you as suspicious and permanently lock your funds.
If you try contacting their customer support for an issue with the SMS code, your account will be instantly banned because of "fraudulent activity" regardless of any human consideration.
What Other Users Are Saying It is certainly not just me with this problem [🔎]. Even the latest feedback reveals that hundreds of people who never used a VPN at all are having the same exact issue over the last 4-5 months:
- Invalid Wallets: People who withdrew their Bitcoin Lightning payments through wallets such as Zebedee or Muun now have an invalid address.
- Support Ghosting: The devs either ignore support tickets or spam users with the message saying that their auto-system is "perfect".
💸 The Verdict: Remove AddSlice Right Away. Slice used to be a legitimate project, but it looks like they ran out of ads budget or are planning to exit-scam the userbase. Sustaining streaks for months and months just to get locked out at the time of payout is simply an utter waste of time and effort.
My final rating for AddSlice: 0/10. Avoid it at all costs. If the Slice extension is still on your browser, uninstall it now. They make money using up your screen space, but you don’t gain anything at all.
