(PSLE 2013) Tell us about a time when someone helped you.

No man is an island, so I graciously accept help from others when I am in need.

Recently, my work required me to report at 7.15am at a different school. Normally, this wouldn’t be a problem because I could send my son to the student care centre at 7am sharp. Unfortunately, his student care centre had undergone some restructuring, so it only opened at 7.30am. You can imagine that I was in a pickle. 

Before I could get myself too vexed about my predicament, the student manager casually said that she would arrive at 7am to be ready for my son. I heaved an immense sigh of relief. Without her timely assistance, I wouldn’t have known how to solve this pesky problem anyway. The fact that she rendered help so promptly and made it so effortless for me to accept help warmed my heart to bits. I was very grateful that she was there to lend me a helping hand
